Poker Cards
A regular pack of poker cards numbers 52 occasionally with the addition of the joker. The cards rank: A (high), K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. The ace also ranks low in the sequence 5-4-3-2-A. The joker when used is a wild card.
Poker is almost invariably played with poker chips of various colors, each color having a different value.
Poker cards are very customisable with novell designs often employed on the back of the card and for the face cards. As a result some suppliers (www.playingcardsales.com for example) have over 2500 different card packs.
As well as standard size cards novell dimensions are also available. Some 'Mammoth Decks' are approx A4 size and there are several other packs which are approx A5 size.

"In 1882, at the annual banquet to mark the inauguration of the new Master and Wardens, each Liveryman was given a pack of cards specially designed for the occasion. The custom has been continued ever since, providing an interesting historical record as the backs of the cards illustrate important events from each year."
