Simon Trumper started playing poker in 1995, playing in small £10 events.
In March 1996 Simon played his first festival at the Vic, making three finals and winning a total of £11,000.
After a short break Simon returned to the poker scene with a bang in 1997, with his record breaking 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th
in four European Championships.

Q. Do you have another job outside the tournament trail, if so what is your occupation and where do you live now?
A. I live in England 20 miles from London. I own a drainage company.
Q. Who are the poker players you most respect?
A. Devilfish, TJ, Eric Seidel
Q. What is your ambition?
A. WSOP champion
Q. Do you have any good luck charms?
A. I have a pair of gold and diamond aces which i use to cap my cards
Q. Do you think that Internet Poker will effect the live card rooms?
A. Yes, by encouraging new players to learn before playing live games.
Q. Sounds like you're having a hard time...lol...I'm buying, what's yours?
A. In Dublin it would be Guinness; here I have just discovered a great wine called Vasse Felix so it would
be their 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon.
Q. Do you ever bet on anything outside a card room?
A. Used to back horses till "Black Tuesday"
